The Baltimore Orioles may be having one of the worst seasons in their history, but the O’s marketing team continues to crank out upbeat Facebook posts for its (increasingly ornery) fans who follow the team on the popular social networking site.

It may be newfangled technology, but the collaboration of a truly sucky team with its angry, frustrated and disappointed fans is a timeless phenomenon.  I present — number one in a series of excerpts from the Baltimore Orioles Facebook page.

Draft Preview: Orioles relish their position
With the third overall pick in the First-Year Player Draft, the Orioles could turn back to pitching and add another young, talented arm. Beyond projected top pick Bryce Harper, this year’s Draft is short on impact bats. But director of scouting Joe Jordan didn’t rule out that possibility.
